“Ask a Fitter” Introduction

Introduction

Do you dread shopping for ski boots? Do your eyes glaze over when you walk into a ski shop and the person in the boot room starts to talk about flex, forward lean, ramp angle, stance, and alignment? Do you typically choose your ski boot based on recommendations from the latest Gear Guide? Do you struggle to find someone you can trust to ask real questions about boot fit, without the risk of feeling foolish? Then this podcast is for you!

This season BootDoc/Hotronic has gathered some of the best and most experienced ski boot experts in the country to help you sort through the myriad of equipment and fit options in the ski boot industry. We will be hosting a monthly podcast series to help you cut through the jargon related to ski boots and boot fit to become a better and more comfortable skier.

Co-hosted by Brent Amsbury, owner of Park City Ski Boot, Dana Ham, longtime ski industry sales and ski boot fitting veteran, and Peter Englert, bootfitter at Alpine Options, VT. This monthly podcast series will cover a range of popular topics from boot selection to heating technology, footbeds and insoles, liners, and more. Both Brent and Dana are board-licensed Pedorthists and all three co-hosts are also BootDoc Boot Fitting Education course instructors who train both new and experienced boot fitters across the U.S. and Canada. From November to March, each 45-minute Live Event will take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 8:30 pm ET (7:30 pm CT/6:30 pm MT/5:30 pm PT). If you miss it, don’t worry – you can find it on your favorite podcast place. Please like and subscribe!

Along the way, we are certain that you are going to learn a lot and we are confident that we will introduce you to many amazing people with much knowledge to share.
